It’s the in-house tool making design and production skills which make the difference, giving RSM the edge in design and prototyping support. As one of the few UK companies producing progression press work with a genuine tool room capability of its own, RSM has a particular strength in designing multi-stage progression dies. The tool room operation has 12 experienced and highly skilled staff, fully occupied with in-house work, designing and producing new tooling as well as undertaking continual maintenance and repair work in the factory itself, keeping production stoppages to a minimum.
Besides a complement of highly skilled staff, the Tool Room is fully equipped for the design and manufacture of new tooling with in-house wire EDM and CAD/CAM facilities. A separate service tool room operates to provide full support for the production facilities.
Strong partnerships with key subcontract tool makers, closely project managed by RSM, ensure that larger customer programmes can be fully supported when required.
